An army that travels back in history to control the world 1,000 years ahead of its predecessors gets more than they bargained. Lead the resistance with hundreds upon thousands of soldiers from various cultures around the world. You can either focus on one person or command an entire army. This game combines world-class strategy and fully interactive battles to give you the best of both! Even if you think the game is over, history may repeat itself.
UPGRADESThe game is generally free to play. However, you can upgrade to have full control over your experience. You can choose which side to join and how many territories to begin with. Fantasy battles can be a great way to let off steam – with as many warriors and cultures as you have devices that allow! Editing every character is possible, but you should note that the game can only use up to 1,000 characters that are constantly replaced.
CONTROLS
This game allows you to choose between a 1-handed or 2-handed control system for a particular character. Each hand can be controlled independently. These controls are similar to those in previous games of the series. You can pause the action by pressing the dateline, then reading the “Controls” guide. You can also look for clues in-game from scrolls and books that you can read.
You can control which member of your team you want to change by tapping on their health meter or by pointing at them on the battlefield. You can activate Commander mode by tapping the arrows at bottom of screen. This allows you to step back and direct any active members of your team simply by swiping between their locations. They will attempt to understand your instructions, regardless of whether they are to move, fight an enemy or pick up an item. They may not be able to do it at their convenience, and they might have other priorities.
No matter what device you are using, you can zoom in or out simply by pinching the middle of the screen.
MAP
You can increase your territory through moving units from one area of the map to another. This is called “Campaign”. You have two options: defend an existing territory, or seize territory from another. It is important to note that only half of units within a territory are available for travel, making it more difficult to invade than to defend.
Each round can see a rise in the population of an inhabited territory, so it is important that you keep them under control. You will notice that units also heal slowly over time. Therefore, it is a good idea to work with different locations every turn.
PERFORMANCE
This is my largest-scale game yet. It may need a high-end device in order to run at 100%. To reduce the number characters displayed on the screen, you can keep the “Population” setting low or to tone down the other options in the “Display”.
It is a shame that there is so much more to this game than I can ever describe here. I hope you have fun figuring it out!
